Heavenly Father, 

You are the giver of life and the author of love. 

We entrust our Nation, the United States of America, into your loving care. As we celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the founding of our great nation, we pray for peace and unity.  Christ founded the Church on the Rock of St. Peter and we ask that you renew the foundation of our faith with a restored understanding of what it means to follow You.  Kindle the flames of the Holy Spirit in our land, that our people will not burn with rage and division, but with mercy and compassion. 

You alone are the true source of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Bless our land, fill it with your glory, and inspire those who have wandered away from you to return, seeking forgiveness, finding community, and establishing a new foundation of joy.
