Meet Our Staff
Mrs. Lori Jordan, Secretary & Bookkeeper
I attended Portland St. Patrick's Catholic School for elementary but graduated from Eaton Rapids High School after moving to Eaton Rapids with my mom. I then attended college before marrying and becoming a military spouse and homemaker.  My husband Dave and I have 4 amazing children that are the apple of my eye.  We have been parishioners at St. Peter for almost 2 years now and love the family atmosphere and welcoming people. I enjoy my work at St. Peter and look forward to many years of serving my parish and the Lord.
"The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I lack. In green pastures he makes me lie down; to still waters he leads me;
he restores my soul.He guides me along right pathsfor the sake of his name."     ~ Psalm 23:1-3 ~
Mrs. Jessica Schaub, Faith Formation Coordinator

My family moved from Lansing to Leslie in 2014 and joined St. Peter in 2016. At our previous parish, St. Therese of Lisieux, we were active in the music ministry and the Family Life Committee and I organized the Raising Saints Homeschool Enrichment Day.
I received my B.A. in Elementary Education in 1994 and my Master’s Degree in Education in 2001, both from Grand Valley State University. I taught Language Arts at St. Thomas the Apostle School for 4 years before ‘retiring’ to be a full-time mom.
My husband Bill and I have four children, who have taken me on a homeschooling adventure for the last 13 years.
I have written several Christian Fantasy and Fiction novels, six of which have been published. Thanks to these books, I have been able to travel a few times a year to speak to groups about stories and how to view our life as a story - be it a comedy, a tragedy, or a drama - and to rewrite our ending.
I’m thrilled to be serving the St. Peter Parish as the Faith Formation Coordinator and I look forward to the many adventures in store.

“You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending."     ~ C.S. Lewis ~

Mrs. Julie Carpenter, Church Housekeeper

My husband Tom and I have lived in Eaton Rapids for over 39 years and been members of St. Peter for over 29 of those years.
Our son, Tom Jr. and his beautiful wife Dayna live in Maryland and in August of 2018 the Lord blessed us with our first granddaughter, Emersyn Lee.
I have worked here as a housekeeper since 2015, first in the Rectory and now in the Church building. I enjoy being able to donate my skills to keep our facilities beautiful for our parish family and  the Lord.
I also believe strongly in volunteer service, and enjoy being an active part of Martha's Sisters.   I am currently a teacher for the religious education program and have been teaching for over 15 years.

“As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace."     ~ I Peter 4:10 ~
Mr. Tom Carpenter, Maintenance

My wife Julie and I have lived in Eaton Rapids for over 39 years and attended St. Peter for over 29 of those years.
We have one son, Tom Jr., who lives near Baltimore with his lovely wife Dayna.  We were blessed with our first granddaughter, Emersyn Lee, in August of 2018.
In past years my wife and I have enjoyed being a part of many Parish events including the Annual Ox Roast Festival & Carnival Committee.
I currently serve on both the Parish and Finance Councils. I have been a Knight for over 24 years also had the honor to serve as our Council’s Grand Knight from July 2016 to June 2017.
I enjoy serving wherever I am able, and am honored to be a part of the Parish staff.

"We must fix our eyes on Jesus, not on the responsibilities that come with serving Him."     ~ Excerpt from 09/02/2017 One Bread One Body reading
Mr. Jerry Lovejoy, Maintenance

My wife Janice and I have been members of St. Peter 's for the last 15 years!  Before retiring from GM in 2006, I worked as a journeyman in Machine Repair for 42 years.
I have been a member of St. Vincent de Paul since 2010, and have been their President since 2013. I also am a member of the Knight's of Columbus, and have held various minor positions with them for 34 years.
Maintenance is my forte and I really enjoy new challenges each and every day.

Mrs. Laurel LaPorte, Music Ministry

My husband Leo and I have been members of St. Peter for 25 years and have 3 wonderful adult children. Originally from Bedford, Ohi, music has been a large part of my life since childhood.
I received my Bachelor’s in Music Education from Bowling Green State University, and my Master’s in Music Education from Michigan State University.
I served as a music teacher prior to taking the role of Music Ministry Director for St. Peter in 1996.
I believe that worshipful music can take many forms, and strive to assist all in honoring the Lord and experiencing God’s presence and love through the music at our Liturgies.

Mrs. Renae Davidson,  Youth Ministry Team Leader
Hello!  I have been a member of St.Peter for 50 years, and have been married to Todd Davidson for 24 years. Together, we have 2 adult children, Andrew, and Tori, who previously served as our Parish's Faith Formation Coordinator. I try to live my life by the words of Paul in Philippians 4:13 - we can do all things together through Christ!
I love working with the youth in our Parish because it renews my faith every time we are together.
Please feel free to contact me anytime with questions or just to chat!

Mr. Scott Olson, Youth Ministry Team Leader
My family is very active in the Parish and have served together in may areas, including the Parish Festival and Community Thanksgiving Dinner. It is also my honor to serve as a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus, a member of Parish Council, and as a consultant for our Buildings and Grounds Commission.
In October of 2016, after attending the Diocesan Evangelization Conference, I felt God's call to serve as a Youth Minister. With Fr. George's blessing, I accepted the role as a Youth Ministry Team Leader. I am energized by the blessings and challenges involved in helping to feed the hearts and minds of our youth, and am excited to see what God has in store for St. Peter and our wonderful kids.
I enjoy being involved in various aspects of our Church, and strive to serve God faithfully in all of the roles He has called me to.

I am married to IvyLynn Olson, the Administrative Assistant at Saint Martha in Okemos. Together we have 5 amazing children -  Alexis, Matthew, Tyller, Riley & Noah. In addition, the Lord has also blessed us with 2 beautiful granddaughters.

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms.” ~ I Peter 4:10 ~
